Finding Best Places For Fly Fishing in The USA
I am planning a luxury fly fishing retreat for 10 key customers. These people have the money to do whatever they want so we need to impress. I am very unfamiliar with fly fishing so would like some recommendations on the best locations to fish that have the most high end, luxury accommodations as well as engaging people to take the group out to fish. In addition, I would like to find a location that has a full service, high end spa for those who do not want to fish. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

If you want the very best fishing in the U.S. and most of the world than it is def. Alaska.Five species of salmon, monster rainbows(up to 20 lbs + in the rivers) halibut, grayling and much more.Getting to fish next to bears, take scenic flights to view wildlife volcanoes and so much more. If you want the best, Alaska is def. the best in the U.S., no second thoughts about it. Just look online at Bristol Bay lodges.
Jackson Hole, WY – Snake River, Flat Creek, Plenty of 5 star options in the area plus direct jet service.
Aspen CO – Roaring Fork and Frying Pan Rivers, Horseback into the backcountry options. It’s Aspen, lots of spa options.
Use a tour organizer like Fly Water Travel
go to alaska…I was a fishing guide there for 11 years and the trout fishing there is unrivaled….find an outfitter who will take you to lake illiamna area…or fish on the kenai….august on the kenai our average rainbow is 5 pounds and ive caught them in there up to 22 pounds…also while you are trout fishing you can hook salmon like sockeyes and silvers/cohos…also you can book a combination trip to fish both……Try Mr funwyzer charters just type that in your browser he will be able to set you up with first rate accomadations and all the fishing you need…
So many places………
Try Alaska and other Western states
I am from PA (Pittsburgh) and fly fish a lot in local streams
Rich people would like all that stuff, but I doubt any fly fishing service has that because most fly guides make you “rough it” Try a cruise that will let you have fly fishing excursions to like Alaska or someplace else. That would be the best place because I doubt if you are going to find a spa in the middle of nowhere in Montana or someplace else!!
Montana has some great waters to fish like the Henry’s Fork for example but gets a lot of pressure. just a quick jump across the border into the East Kootenay region of British Columbia would be the best bet in my mind.
Ferne has a world class ski hill with incredible accommodations just a stone’s throw from the Elk River. you say you have 10 clients with some cash to spend. I can not think of a better place to go.
I have fly-fished the region for over 30 years and I’m never disappointed. yes I am a little partial because it is really my backyard but I have fished all over western Canada and the US and I have not found a better place to go. there is an international airport an hour’s drive away in Cranbrook so access is not a problem.
good luck and cast well!
