Camping In Lower Pines
Just Me asked:
We will be camping in Lower Pines this coming weekend (Jan 22-23) and I would like to do some fly fishing on the Mercedes river near camp. Is it worth it? If so, any advice??

Get out EARLY, as there are mobs of people in Yosemite Valley, and by mid-morning there will be too many people around spooking everything in sight.
As for specifics, check with a tackle shop outside the park as you head in. (The park shops may sell fishing stuff, but they aren’t run by fishermen.)
